Computer Center

The Main assignments and activities of this centralized facility are to:
- Provide, manage and ensure the satisfactory operation of joint computer and software facilities for the students and departments that require these facilities
- Provide technical assistance to various users
- Ensure the monitoring of the computer network at the institute, the coordination of inter-connections and the management of overall computer facilities for the entire institute
For conducting these tasks satisfactorily, a fully air-conditioned computer center makes use of a wide range of computer facilities. The institute has chosen a system based on high end servers and work stations under Windows and Linux, which provide the interconnection and exchange of information between the various systems thereby providing the students and faculty a work environment adapted to their requirements and latest technology reflecting the standards of the computer industry.
Tula’s Institute has a world class Software Development Cell equipped with high end servers and client machines, software and other accessories. The experienced faculty members assist the students to finish their projects in this cell. All the work of ERP and software development for administration of the institute is delegated as live projects to the students, who gain comprehensive practical experience on computer applications and software development.
The Institute visualizes centralized computing facility, campus wide networking and information technology as a means to enrich the educational experience and invigorate emerging areas of scholarly research and education.
A 2 Mbps Leased Line from BSNL and 2 Mbps from Bharti cater to the internet requirements of the institute (Total 4Mbps).
The campus network connects the Departments, and Centre. Network Connectivity is also provided to the remote locations, which includes both boys and girls hostels. Computer centre manages and administers the Internet links and the internet services such as electronic mail, World Wide Web, DNS, FTP and other services. Centre manages the proxy servers and mail relay servers facilitate the above services. The campus wide networking consisting of academic zone, hostel zone and residential zone is wi-fi enabled. The commissioning of this Campus Area Network has been done for 600 nodes.
